Storytelling of the Week XXXVI

Without any doubt, John Lewis created another masterpiece for Christmas. Well, expect some other ‘End of the Year’ jewels on this blog in the next few weeks

But the most important is the following. In a couple of days, this ad was spoofed…brilliantly in the context of the political situation in US. It reminded me the reaction of one of my first bosses back in the days. He was so happy that one of our campaigns was spoofed by Canal+ in France, I was pretty surprised as it was quite harsh regarding all the efforts we put in this campaign. He said to me ‘This is the best that can happen to an advertising campaign, because it says that the people are digesting it and changing it for themselves. It shows that our work is part of the pop culture’. Word.
